In 2015, The Hope Effect began with a belief that every child deserves a family. That belief led to the dream (the BIG dream!) of changing the way the world cares for orphans.
Since The Hope Effect was founded, we have been working tirelessly to get orphaned and vulnerable children out of orphanages and into loving families…where they belong. And it’s been nothing short of incredible to witness the family care movement grow thanks to your generosity and support!
Now, during National Foster Care Month, we recognize the importance of family care and celebrate the difference you're making in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world. Because of you, hundreds of kids are experiencing the love, support, and stability that only a family can provide. We are so grateful.

The NEED
The movement to get children out of orphanages and into loving families is expanding – which is great news! However, the demand for family-based care has outpaced our resources.
Our programs in Latin America and Southeast Asia are thriving and poised for expansion, but we urgently need your support to maintain our standard of excellence and broaden our reach. If you’ve been following The Hope Effect’s journey and have considered supporting our work, the time to jump in is now.
The Opportunity
In honor of National Foster Care Month, here’s some amazing news! If you join the Circle of Hope now through the end of May, you will DOUBLE the impact of your gift...for an entire year! A generous donor has agreed to match all new monthly gifts – or increases to existing monthly gifts – for the first 12 months!
And because we know you want your donation to be used for the reason it was given, you can direct 100% of your monthly gift directly to orphan care. That has been our commitment since day one, and it remains our commitment today.
Why Monthly Giving?
Monthly giving is the most effective way to support our mission. It allows you to spread your contributions throughout the year, making it easier to give according to your budget.
In addition, consistent monthly giving provides stability for The Hope Effect, allowing us to plan ahead and implement long-term initiatives and programs. This ensures sustainable, lasting change in our locations - breaking the cycle of institutional care around the world and giving hope to future generations.
Every gift – of any amount – helps get a child out of an orphanage and into a family. For example, $25 a month provides a "Welcome Home" kit for a child entering a new foster family, supplying the essentials needed to start their journey in a loving family environment. And $50 a month sponsors professional training for new foster families.
